Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the 350 and 400 mm modules?
The module length, the upstand height and the possible sheet lengths differ. A sheet with the 350 mm module is made from 800 to 5 000 mm, with the 400 mm module from 900 to 5 300 mm. The module is chosen to suit the slope length so that less offcut is left.
What does effective width mean?
It is the width the sheet actually covers once fitted, excluding the lap onto the neighbouring sheet. The effective width of Rubin is 1 150 mm, so the same roof needs fewer sheets than with narrower profiles.
Can I get a colour sample?
Yes. We send a sample by post or show it in person - on screen a colour always looks different from coated steel.
Do you help calculate the quantity?
Yes. Send us the roof dimensions or a drawing and we will prepare a specification with quantities and a price.
