Protective coatings

The paint coating protects the sheet from weather and knocks, and gives the colour. Warranty length depends on the coating, not the steel. Colour on screen is always approximate - we send a sample before you order.

Four groups

  • Up to 30 years

    Basic polyester

    Gloss polyester PS25 and metallic PS25. UV resistance to RUV4 (EN 10169). For when price and a wide colour range matter most.

  • Up to 35 years

    Advanced polyester

    Thicker matt polyester. Same RUV4 class, thicker film. For houses this group is usually enough.

    • ULTRAMAT®

  • Up to 50 years

    Polyurethane

    A 50 µm film holds corrosion better in towns and industry than polyester. Technical warranty - up to 50 years, aesthetic - up to 30.

  • Up to 40 years

    Special coatings

    Colorcoat series - for high humidity: the coast, pools, processing plants. Corrosion class C5.

Care

Any coating lasts longer if you inspect and wash the roof once a year.

  • Inspection - once a year, preferably in spring.
  • Washing - a soft brush and water up to 60 °C. A mild detergent (pH 6-7) is allowed.
  • Pressure washer - max 100 bar, no closer than 30 cm, not square-on to joints.
  • Do not use: scouring powder, nitro solvents, chlorine, ammonium chloride.
  • Repairs during the warranty only with the installer's written consent and the right paint.

A repaired spot may differ from the next sheet - varnish ages in UV. Work-safety rules apply throughout.
