Can the layers be changed?
No. The classification applies to exactly the assembly that was tested - change the insulation type, its thickness or the sheet thickness and it no longer holds. If a different solution is needed, we will select another TECH assembly.
What does the designation mean?
The letter says where it is used: S for a wall, D for a roof deck. The numbers are the classes achieved: the first is fire resistance, the second (where present) the sound insulation in decibels.
Will I get the documents?
Yes. We provide the classification document and the assembly drawing with the quote - they are needed to get the design approved.
