PWS-PIR-ST-50
A 50 mm PIRTECH Standard panel for walls. Thermal transmittance U = 0.45 W/m²K - the usual choice for the walls of production and storage buildings. A polyurethane (PIR) core insulates better than mineral wool, so a thinner panel gives you the same warmth.
- U = 0,45 W/m²K The lower the number, the less heat the wall lets through.
- Visible The fixing type decides whether screws show on the facade.
- For industrial buildings Warehouses, factories, sports and farm buildings.

Coatings and warranties
Warranty length and colour choice depend on the coating, not the steel. Colour on screen is always approximate - we will send a sample before you order.
Coating shade can vary slightly between raw-material batches. If you are adding to an existing order or need an exact shade - tell us when you order.

Frequently asked questions
What panel thickness do I need?
Thickness drives the insulation: a 50 mm panel gives U = 0.45 W/m²K. For heated buildings people usually pick a thickness that brings U to 0.20 W/m²K or lower; for unheated stores and farm buildings a thinner panel is enough. Send us the design and we will tell you which thickness meets the requirement.
How is PIR better than mineral wool?
The thermal conductivity of PIR polyurethane is 0.022 W/mK - roughly half that of mineral wool. To reach the same U you need a panel almost half as thick, and it is lighter too, so the structure is simpler.
Will the fixing screws be visible?
Yes. This series is fixed with visible screws through the panel face - the simplest and cheapest method of installation. If no screws should show on the facade, choose the PIRTECH Plus series.
Do the panels meet building requirements?
Yes. They are made to LST EN 14509 and CE marked. We supply the reaction-to-fire class, the fire resistance and the tightness figures together with the quote.
