Why have an open-cell ceiling at all?
They hide the clutter above - pipes, ducts, cables - without creating a closed cavity. So fire and ventilation systems work as if the ceiling were not there, and access to the equipment needs no dismantling. Most often chosen for offices, corridors and retail spaces.
What cell size should I choose?
The finer the cell, the less you see above the ceiling - but the more profile is needed, so the ceiling reads denser and costs more. A large cell (from 150 mm) is cheaper and the space feels taller, but the services are visible. The usual compromise is 75-100 mm.
Is it suitable for damp rooms?
Yes - the profiles are aluminium, so they do not rust. For a specific room get in touch and we will discuss the finish.
